An authentic antique vintage Dutch Friesian Schippertje clock.

These type of clocks were called Schippertje (means Skipper), because these clocks were used on Dutch boats.

This because they were able to keep running as the boat was rocking because of the sea. Later on, the Dutch were fond of

this design and bought them to hang them in their house on the wall.

The dial is handpainted, which adds value to this great clock.

This clock has a moonphase, so you can tell the position of the moon.

Friesian tail clocks were produced in the region of Friesland, which is a northern region of the Netherlands.

These clocks were produced around 1960.

The clock has a 8 day clockwork.

Moreover, its measurements are 70 cm (with ornaments) and 21 cm in width (ornaments measured).

In inches: the height is 27" and the width is 8"

It chimes the half and full hour.

This clock has normal traces of age, but he is in a very good condition, see the photo's.
