A beautiful authentic antique vintage Dutch Zaanse wall clock. This clock is from circa 1960.
The traditional Dutch clock chimes on the half and full hour (chimes beautifully). A hammer is beating on a drum. It’s weight driven by two brass pear shaped weights.
This clock is in great condition, the wood, the ornaments and the movement (the clock works perfectly).
This is a very rare clock, because it has a 1 day movement and smaller weights. A collectors item.
The height of the clock is about 45 centimeter and the width is 19 centimeter.
The pendulum is decorated with a beautiful piece horseman.
Round the top the following Dutch words: "Nu Elk Syn Sin" which means "To Each His Own" or "Every Man to His Taste". This is a reference to the freedom of religion after the Dutch rebelled successfully against the Spaniards.
